Exposure
Your work and vision will be widely accessible. You will have an opening page with the address: www.artswideopen.com/yourname. Your gallery is a place for color images of your work, with descriptions, pricing and contact information. It will be composed of small images of your work (thumbnails) that can be clicked on to open to a larger image. Your gallery will also include your photo, a visual/artist statement and a bio or overview of your creative experiences plus contact information.
The artists will be listed on the Galleries page in alphabetical order. On a monthly basis the names will rotate top to bottom so everyone has the opportunity to be at the top of the page. As the number of artists increases the rotation may increase.
Gallery Space
One gallery holds up to 15 images (thumbnails opening to larger images), additional galleries may be requested (see below).

Arts Wide Open does the work of establishing and maintaining a website for you, the artist.
Arts Wide Open will learn for you . I will continue to learn new skills in website design, presentation and maintenance. The website will continue to improve and grow as a result.
Your Cost*
$204.00 for 1 year (payable by cheque or PayPal) or save $40.00 by signing up for two years: only $368.

* A note on website expenses: Creating a web site involves registering a domain name and purchasing web hosting services as well as design and maintenance services. These costs can run anywhere from $ 100 for domain registration and site hosting plus around $500 and up for website design and maintenance on a yearly basis. In order to remain “fresh” websites should be updated on a regular basis to keep your viewers coming back. Html/email newsletters can run from $15 to $30/month depending on subscribers etc. plus you'd have to take the time to write it. Arts Wide Open takes care of all of this for you - the cost for gallery space in dollars and your time is very affordable. The price for a year averages out to $17.00 a month for your advertising budget
To join the collective
Arts Wide Open is a collective, a shared space of creativity and expression. It is a juried website with an emphasis on thoughtful, truth telling, inspiring art in all mediums. If you would like to join the web collective please submit two or three digital images of your work and a brief vision/artist statement to myself, Deb Clay . You will be contacted within two weeks.
How It Works
Once you have been juried in you provide:
-a bio and photo of yourself
-a vision or artist statement about your current work (this is important! It’s what draws the viewer into your “world”) To help you shape/articulate your vision I can provide you with a series of questions to get the dialogue started.
-digital images of your work along with information on each piece *-images and information can be updated at no extra charge every few months! No need to let your gallery get stale, that way you can tell clients to return to your site to see new work on a regular basis

Your gallery will be created usually within two weeks of receiving your information and images. Your web address will be www.artswideopen.com/yourname and your contact email will be yourname@artswideopen.com.
Arts Wide Open reserves the right to edit submissions for accuracy and brevity but will contact you if changes are to be made.
How You Can Help & How the Collective Helps You
-put the web site address you've been given on all your print material ( your business cards, brochures etc)
- use the postcards supplied to announce your website to clients or to advertise your workshops, art show etc.
-if you have a mailing list let them know about your site
-word of mouth>talk it up -let people know you are in business
